Hi ! My name is Larry Scott, and I am the proud President, Buyer, Sales, D.J., and bathroom cleaner of Havin’ A Party. All my life, I’ve worked in and loved the entertainment and party business. At the age of 13, I worked in the same  retail store ( had my working papers ) for eight years selling magic tricks, jokes and gags, costumes, and booked  entertainment  for parties and social gatherings – until graduating   from college for business.  During those times, I also performed at private events MAGIC. I’ve even been a magician for the City of New York ( Brooklyn Arts and Culture Association ) for years.

After graduating I worked for 2 ½ years in a wholesale company working in sales and being the domestic buyer for the company which sold novelties, magic, and costumes. I realized there was no future for me working for someone else so I decided to open with my wife Robin HAVIN’ A PARTY on July 14^th, 1984 in Canarsie Brooklyn.

We opened our store with a minimal amount of  inventory – mostly of paper goods, magic tricks, jokes and gags, and balloons. And it’s that knowledge and devotion to the business that has brought us here . Years  later, 3 kids ( now men ), mortgage payments, 2 dogs, 2 birds, and thousands of satisfied and loyal customers.

Besides our store’s mass of merchandise we have an upscale entertainment division – included in our cast are: Magicians, Clowns, Look-A-Likes, Costumed Characters, Jugglers, Hypnotists, Face Painters, Balloon Twisters, Karaoke Jocks, and an impressive crew of D.J.’s and Party Motivators for any and all occasions.

For balloon decorations – look no further than H.A.P.  Our balloon artists can arrange anything out of balloons from basic table centerpieces to elaborate sculptures, we do it all !

H.A.P.’s custom art department can make all your themes come alive. We create sign-in boards, table centerpieces, marquees, walk-troughs, and free standing displays.
